As a follow on to my last post here are some more images of Tyneside. When I was young I used to visit Newcastle upon Tyne City Centre regularly and if I had time I would go to look at the statue of ‘River God Tyne’  on the wall of the Civic Centre. I always liked the statue and I still like it now. I particularly like this image I took because of the shadows cast on the wall on a sunny day.

I remember when Eldon Square shopping centre was built in the City Centre and at the time the glass fronted building looked space age to me and to be honest it still looks good today!

Down on Newcastle quayside I was looking for a different view of the Swing Bridge. I took this image of the bridge through the railings of the High Level Bridge and I think it looks interesting.

Further along the Quayside I stopped to look at the Cooperage which was a pub I used to go to years ago. It’s closed now but looking at this fine old building brought back happy memories.

All of these images and more are available on my website so please have a look.
